Modern Home Renovation: Reimagining a Luxury Brand

Scroll

When I joined Modern Home Renovation as VP of Brand & Marketing, the challenge was clear: their work was exceptional, but their brand didn’t match its artistry.

Translating Craftsmanship into Story & Client Experience

My task was to elevate every touchpoint — from the website to the client journey — into a seamless, luxury-level experience. I refined brand positioning, humanized the brand voice, modernized the look and feel of the brand, directed a full digital and identity refresh, and art-directed professional photography that captured both the beauty of the projects and the authenticity of the team.

To move beyond one-off discounts and specials, I led a shift toward fully integrated marketing campaigns that spoke to the heart of the homeowner — using more human-centered language like “Refresh. Revive. Relax.” and “Love Where You Live.” This evolution brought both consistency and emotion to the brand’s voice across every channel — from print and digital ads to fleet vehicle wraps, showroom materials, and video storytelling.

To extend MHR’s brand into the physical environment, I collaborated with the design and leadership teams to bring a more intentional, client-centered approach to the showroom experience. My role focused on aligning the brand story and emotional tone across touchpoints — ensuring clients could feel the craftsmanship and care behind the work the moment they entered.

I also supported curated showroom events by coordinating with local chefs to shape the guest experience and designing all branded invitations, event messaging, and visual materials. These activations helped position the showroom as both an inspiration space and a trust-building environment, ultimately increasing interest in premium finishes, cabinetry, and top-tier appliances.

To expand MHR’s reach, I worked with the owner to develop The Retreat Bath Program that helped more mainstream customers navigate design decisions with confidence. This modular program, showcased within the showroom, offered ready-to-customize bathroom concepts supported by cohesive marketing and collateral — driving both efficiency and growth for the brand.

The result was a brand that felt as refined and trustworthy as the work itself — boosting client trust, referrals, and positioning the company for investor acquisition in 2016.
